The company "Bazalt SPO" has released a new version of the Linux distribution for educational organizations — "ALT Education" 11.0, based on the ALT 11 platform (p11). The distribution is designed for everyday use by preschool organizations, schools, universities, and colleges. The product is distributed under a Licensing Agreement, allowing free use by individuals. Commercial and governmental organizations can download and test the distribution, but for continued operation within a corporate infrastructure, legal entities must acquire licenses or enter into written licensing agreements. The builds are prepared for x86_64 and AArch64 platforms.
"ALT Education" enables the creation and integration of workspaces for students, teachers, and lecturers. The necessary software package can be selected during the OS installation phase or downloaded at any time from a special meta-package. The distribution provides centralized classroom management, automated simultaneous installation on multiple workstations, supports guest sessions, can operate in a heterogeneous network, is compatible with educational web services and domestic software, and works with interactive whiteboards. During the system installation process, users can choose the graphical environment Xfce or KDE Plasma.

- By default, the KDE Plasma 6 desktop environment based on Wayland is offered instead of Xfce. Xfce is available as an option.
- A new application "ALT Center" (altcenter) has been added for viewing system information, settings, installation and removal of components. Configuration-related features have been moved from the installer to altcenter.
- The installer now provides the option to configure the network before the package installation begins.
- The distribution has removed video conferencing tools, itest, scilab, and monodevelop.
