The distribution is based on Debian GNU/Linux and utilizes code from projects such as DRBL, Partition Image, ntfsclone, partclone, and udpcast. Booting from CD/DVD, USB Flash, and over the network (PXE) is possible. LVM2 and file systems ext2, ext3, ext4, reiserfs, reiser4, xfs, jfs, btrfs, f2fs, nilfs2, FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, NTFS, HFS+, UFS, minix, VMFS3, and VMFS5 (VMware ESX) are supported. A mass cloning mode over the network is available, including traffic transmission in multicast mode, allowing simultaneous cloning of the source disk to a large number of client machines. Cloning from one disk to another, as well as creating backups via saving a disk image to a file, is possible. Cloning can occur at the level of entire disks or individual partitions.
In the new version:
- Synchronization with the Debian Sid package repository has been completed as of June 30;
- The Linux kernel has been updated to version 5.7.6;
- The xen-tools package has been included;
- The partition cloning utility Partclone has been updated to version 0.3.14. The code has been updated to support the xfs file system;
- The exfat-fuse package has been removed from the distribution, as exFAT support is now included in the main Linux kernel;
- Improvements have been made to GRUB settings regarding linuxefi/initrdefi and linux/initrd.
