iXsystems release , a distribution for the rapid deployment of network storage (NAS, Network-Attached Storage). The distribution is based on the FreeBSD codebase, features integrated support for ZFS, and can be managed through a web interface built using the Python framework Django. It supports access to storage via FTP, NFS, Samba, AFP, rsync, and iSCSI for increasing storage reliability; software RAID (0,1,5) can be used, and it supports LDAP/Active Directory for client authorization. The installation (780 MB) is prepared for the x86_64 architecture.

- The data replication engine in ZFS has been overhauled. Replication performance has increased by 8 times. Support for automatic resumption of interrupted data transfer sessions, parallel task execution, and local replication has been added;
- An ACL Manager has been added — a web interface for configuring and managing access control lists in SMB shares;
- For new SMB shares, the SMB Shadow Copy module is now enabled by default, creating backups using the ZFS snapshot system. The created file copies can be viewed in the 'Previous Versions' tab in the file manager;
- Support for using quotas for SMB defined in Active Directory has been added;
- The 'Community plugins' repository has been brought online, featuring plugins prepared by community members and officially unsupported by iXsystems;
- An iSCSI Wizard has been added to simplify the creation of new iSCSI targets;
- The monitoring interface has been redesigned, providing grouping of alerts by type rather than alphabetically. It is now possible to set threshold values for generating alerts. A new type of persistent critical alerts has been implemented, remaining active until manually closed. A new Alert framework has been engaged for periodic execution of handlers;
- The Dashboard interface has been rewritten, now offering a summary report on the current system status, network activity, CPU load, and memory consumption;
- Support for using a NAT translator has been provided to run plugins without the need to assign each plugin its own IP address.
- A new REST API has been introduced, supporting WebSocket and utilizing unified handlers with the web interface. The API can be used to manage FreeNAS from scripts and integrate with external platforms. An API for saving and auditing configuration files has been added;
- A setup wizard for large ZFS pools has been added, covering a large number of disks. The proposed interface allows automation of VDEV layout cloning across all disks;
- Performance optimization for ZFS has been conducted for different types of loads;
- Simplified setup wizards for SMB, network settings, and replication have been proposed;
- Support for WireGuard VPN has been implemented;
- Translations into Czech, French, Japanese, Russian, and Simplified Chinese have been updated. Additionally, the process of adding more translations has been significantly improved.
