The company "Bazalt SPO" has released the Simply Linux 10.2 distribution, built on the 10th ALT platform. This distribution is a user-friendly, resource-light system with a classic Xfce desktop environment, providing full Russian localization of the interface and most applications. The product is distributed under a license agreement that does not transfer the right to distribute the distribution but allows unrestricted use of the system by individuals and legal entities. The distribution is available in builds for x86_64, i586, Aarch64, Armh (armv7a), RISC-V, and e2kv4/e2k architectures.
Key changes in Simply Linux 10.2:
- The Xfce user environment has been updated to version 4.18.
- Updated Linux kernel versions: 5.10.198 and 6.1.57 (for aarch64 — 5.10.198 and 6.1.0).
- Updated system components: Systemd 249.16, NetworkManager 1.40.18.

- The ability to install on partitions with Btrfs filesystem has been added. By default, the Ext4 filesystem continues to be used.
- An on-screen keyboard, Onboard, has been added.
- The installer layout has been changed in Alterator.
- The collection of desktop wallpapers has been updated.
- The menu design has been improved, with duplicate items cleaned up, icon sizes increased, and only pop-up descriptions for applications retained.
