After a year of development distribution release , built on the foundations of the Slackware and Salix projects, and fully compatible with the repositories offered in them. A key feature of Slackel is the use of the constantly updated Slackware-Current branch. The graphical environment is based on the Openbox window manager. The size of the bootable image, capable of running in Live mode, (32 and 64 bit). The distribution can be used on systems with 512 MB of RAM.
The new release is synchronized with the current branch of Slackware and comes with Linux kernel 5.4.50. The slim login manager is used by default, as there are issues with font rendering in Gdm.
The Slackel Live Installer (sli) has been enhanced with the ability to install the distribution on external USB drives.
