SystemRescue 11.0 has been released, a specialized Live distribution based on Arch Linux, designed for system recovery after a failure. The graphical environment used is Xfce. The size of the ISO image is 853 MB (amd64).
Changes in the new version:
- The Linux kernel has been updated to branch 6.6.
- The ssh_known_hosts parameter has been added to the configuration file to specify trusted hosts' public keys for SSH.
- The configuration of the Xfce user interface has been updated (including a screensaver, added battery charge applet).
- The dstat utility has been replaced with dool (a fork of dstat).
- The bcachefs-tools package has been added, containing utilities for the Bcachefs filesystem.
- The blocksync-fast package with a utility for synchronizing and backing up block devices has been added.
- The sleuthkit package has been added for inspecting filesystem images.
- The timeshift package with the same-named backup utility has been added, using rsync with hard link creation or Btrfs snapshots to implement functionality similar to System Restore in Windows and Time Machine in macOS.
