The release of the specialized distribution Tails 5.9 (The Amnesic Incognito Live System) has been formed, based on the Debian package base and designed for anonymous internet access. Anonymous access in Tails is ensured through the Tor system. All connections, except traffic via the Tor network, are blocked by default by a packet filter. For storing user data in saved sessions between launches, encryption is used. An ISO image capable of operating in Live mode, sized at 1.2 GB, has been prepared for download.
In the new version, the dialog warning that was shown when launching the Unsafe Browser, intended for accessing resources on the local network, has been removed. Versions Tor Browser 12.0.2 and Tor 0.4.7.13 have been updated. The Tor Connection screen has been simplified with error information that occurs during automatic connection to the Tor network. The Linux kernel has been updated to version 6.0.12, which solved issues with graphics cards and expanded hardware support. Problems with starting AppImage packages using Qt (such as Feather and Bitcoin-Qt) have been resolved. The display of menus in the headers of some GTK3 applications installed as Additional Software has been improved.
