The release of the specialized distribution Tails 6.1 (The Amnesic Incognito Live System) has been formed, based on the Debian 12 package base, featuring the GNOME 43 desktop, and intended for anonymous internet access. Anonymous access in Tails is provided through the Tor system. By default, all connections except for traffic through the Tor network are blocked by a packet filter. Data storage in the persistence mode between sessions is secured with encryption. An ISO image has been prepared that can operate in Live mode, with a size of 1 GB.
In the new version, updates include Tor Browser 13.0.13 (based on Firefox 115.9.1) and Thunderbird 115.9. A new version of the microcode for Intel CPUs has been added, featuring changes necessary to block the RFDS vulnerability. The persistent storage configurator now displays all enabled additional features.
