Release of DXVK 1.9.2, a Direct3D 9/10/11 implementation over the Vulkan API

DXVK 1.9.2 has been released, providing an implementation of DXGI (DirectX Graphics Infrastructure), Direct3D 9, 10, and 11, which operates through call translation to the Vulkan API. To use DXVK, drivers supporting Vulkan API 1.1 are required, such as Mesa RADV 20.2, NVIDIA 415.22, Intel ANV 19.0, and AMDVLK. DXVK can be used to run 3D applications and games on Linux using Wine, serving as a higher-performance alternative to the built-in Wine implementations of Direct3D 9/10/11, which run on OpenGL.

Key Changes:

  • In the D3D9 implementation, CPU load has been reduced and various crashes in the test suite have been fixed.
  • Issues arising when enabling the d3d9.evictManagedTexturesOnUnlock and d3d11.relaxedBarriers options have been resolved.
  • Problems in the games Call of Cthulhu, Crysis 3, Homefront: The Revolution, GODS, Total War: Medieval 2, Fantasy Grounds, Need For Speed: Heat, Paranormal Files, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, Payday, Shin Megami Tensei 3, and Sine Mora EX have been resolved.
