After a year and a half of development, version 1.10.0 of RetroArch has been released, a frontend for emulating various gaming consoles, allowing you to play classic games using a simple unified graphical interface. It supports emulators for consoles such as Atari 2600/7800/Jaguar/Lynx, Game Boy, Mega Drive, NES, Nintendo 64/DS, PCEngine, PSP, Sega 32X/CD, SuperNES, and more. Gamepads from existing gaming consoles, including PlayStation 3, Dualshock 3, 8bitdo, Xbox One, and Xbox 360, can be used, as well as general-purpose gamepads like the Logitech F710. The emulator supports features such as multiplayer gaming, state saving, enhanced image quality for old games through shaders, rewind functionality, hot-swapping controllers, and video streaming.
In the new version:
- Support for High Dynamic Range (HDR) has been implemented for Vulkan and Slang shaders.
- Network gaming (netplay) support has been significantly improved: The code for uPnP support has been completely reworked. The implementation of relay servers has been made functional, and the option to deploy your own relays has been provided. A text chat feature has been added. In the Lobby Viewer interface, rooms for online and local network play have been separated.
- An effect to hide menu items near the lower and upper screen boundaries has been implemented in the XMB menu. The intensity of vertical fading can be adjusted in the settings under "Settings -> User Interface -> Appearance."

- The Xbox emulator has been significantly improved.
- The Nintendo 3DS emulator has added plugins Jaxe, A5200, and WASM4 (for WebAssembly games).
- Wayland support has been enhanced: mouse wheel functionality has been implemented and the libdecor library has been added for client-side window decoration.
