The release of the minimalist Linux distribution Tiny Core Linux 12.0 has taken place, which can operate on systems with 48 MB of RAM. The graphical environment of the distribution is based on the Tiny X server, FLTK toolkit, and FLWM window manager. The distribution is fully loaded into RAM and runs from memory. The new release includes updates to system components, including Linux kernel 5.10.3, busybox 1.33.0, Glibc 2.32, GCC 10.2.0, binutils 2.35.1, e2fsprogs 1.45.6, and util-linux 2.36.1.
The bootable ISO image is only 16 MB. For 64-bit systems, there is a CorePure64 build, which is 17 MB in size.
