After 10 years of development, the first stable release of the Bespoke Synth project is now available. This modular software synthesizer allows users to generate and process sound through a visual representation of audio signal routing between various modules, shaping and altering the waveform, and applying effects. The project's code is written in C++ and is distributed under the GPLv3 license. Ready-made builds have been prepared for Linux, macOS, and Windows.
A notable feature of the application is the ability to change the environment on the fly — users can add and modify nodes without interrupting music playback. More than 190 modules are available for creating audio chains. Support for connecting ready-made VST plugins and quickly creating custom processors in Python is also provided. Tools for MIDI controller integration are included.
