The release of the graphic editor for children's creativity – Tux Paint 0.9.26 has been published. The program is designed to teach children aged 3 to 12 how to draw. Binary builds have been created for RHEL/Fedora, Android, Haiku, macOS, and Windows.
In the new release:
- The fill tool has a new option to fill areas with a linear or circular gradient, smoothly transitioning from one color to another.
- New 'magic' tools have been added: 'Pixels' for creating pixel art in the style of old games, 'Checkerboard' for filling an area with a selected pattern, and 'Clone' for duplicating parts of an image using a brush.
- New settings have been introduced to increase the size of elements on the screen for people with visual impairments, and to redesign the color scheme for better compatibility with input systems for individuals with motor disabilities, such as gaze-tracking navigation systems.
- The documentation has been revised to simplify localization.
