The distribution includes built-in tools for organizing backups of virtual environments and offers out-of-the-box clustering support, including the ability to migrate virtual environments from one node to another without downtime. Features of the web interface include: support for secure VNC console; role-based access management to all available objects (VM, storage, nodes, etc.); and support for various authentication mechanisms (MS ADS, LDAP, Linux PAM, Proxmox VE authentication).

- Sychronization with the Debian 12.10 package base has been completed. The Linux kernel has been updated to version 6.8.12-9 (an option for kernel 6.14 package is prepared). New releases of QEMU 9.2.0, LXC 6.0.0, ZFS 2.2.7 (with patches for kernel 6.14 support) are implemented. Support for creating storage based on Ceph releases 19.2.1 (Squid), Ceph 18.2.4 (Reef), and Ceph 17.2.8 (Quincy) is available.
- Support for Live migration of running guest systems using virtual devices for interaction with physical devices in the host system has been added. To transfer a running virtual machine to another node, the new node must have hardware and drivers that support Live migration. Currently, Live migration is only possible for NVIDIA vGPU. To simplify driver installation for NVIDIA vGPU, a utility "pve-nvidia-vgpu-helper" has been added.
- An API has been proposed for writing plugins to implement functionality for creating backups and restoring systems using external backup platforms. Such plugins provide complete integration of external backup providers with the Proxmox VE web interface and backup stack.
