The release of NGINX Unit Application Server 1.26.0 has taken place, which develops a solution for running web applications in various programming languages (Python, PHP, Perl, Ruby, Go, JavaScript/Node.js, and Java). NGINX Unit can run multiple applications in different programming languages simultaneously, with launch parameters that can be modified dynamically without the need to edit configuration files or restart. In the new version:
- An update has been made to the 'share' option, which now specifies the full path to the files instead of the document root that was previously added to the request URI;
- Automatic adjustment of existing configurations to the new 'share' options has been added during upgrades from previous versions;
- Support for variables has been added in the 'share' option. For example: { "share": "/www/data/$uri" }
- Support for multiple paths has been added in the 'share' option. For example: { "share": ["/www/$host$uri", "/www/static$uri", "/www/app.html"] }
- Support for variables has been added in the chroot option;
- Support for sharing opcache in PHP between application processes has been added;
- Support for routing requests by query string has been added;
- Fixed a bug causing router and application processes to crash when the request limit was reached by asynchronous or multithreaded applications;
- Fixed a bug that stopped reading frames from the established WebSocket connection from the client after the corresponding handler was reconfigured;
- Fixed the build with glibc 2.34, which occurs, in particular, in Fedora 35.
