- Improved compatibility with DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX formats. Support for saving DOCX documents in MS Office 2013/2016/2019 modes has been added, instead of compatibility mode with MS Office 2007. Portability with different versions of MS Office has been enhanced. The ability to save XLSX files with table names exceeding 31 characters, as well as with checkbox toggles, has been implemented. The problem causing the 'invalid content error' when attempting to open exported XLSX files with forms has been resolved. Export and import in PPTX format have been improved.
- In the VCL plugins kf5 (KDE 5) and Qt5, which allow the use of native KDE and Qt dialogs, buttons, window borders, and widgets, support for scaling the interface on high pixel density (HiDPI) screens has been implemented.

Calc has also received several performance optimizations: the speed of opening XLSX files with a large number of images has been increased, the performance of searches using auto-filter has been improved, and the time for rollback operations has been reduced.

- The spell checker for English, Belarusian, Latvian, Catalan, and Slovak languages has been updated. The thesaurus for Russian has been updated and the spell checker has been converted from KOI8-R encoding to UTF-8. Hyphenation patterns have been added for the Belarusian language.
- Support for Java modules has been added (currently only two modules are available: org.libreoffice.uno and org.libreoffice.unoloader). Files juh.jar, jurt.jar, ridl.jar, and unoil.jar have been merged into a single archive libreoffice.jar.
- Support for Python 2.7 has been removed; Python 3 is now required for running scripts. The export filter to Adobe Flash has been removed.
