After one and a half years of development, the Rsync 3.3.0 release has been published, a utility for file synchronization and backup that minimizes traffic through incremental copying of changes. The significant version number change is not related to functional changes in the current release but is a delayed response to substantial changes in the previous version 3.2.7.
