An experimental release of the open implementation of the Win32 API — Wine 10.17 has been published. Since the release of 10.16, 17 bug reports have been closed and 367 changes have been made.
The most significant changes:
- The Wine Mono engine has been updated to release 10.3.0. Wine Mono is a distribution of the Mono Framework designed for use in Wine instead of the proprietary .NET Framework component.
- For OpenGL, a rendering backend using EGL is enabled by default.
- The COMCTL32 (Common Control) library has been split into separate modules for versions 5 and 6.
- In the odbc32 library, support for ANSI win32 drivers that are not designed to work with Unicode has been improved. Functions SQLDriverConnectA(), SQLSpecialColumnsW(), SQLGetInfoW(), SQLGetInfoW(), SQLStatisticsW(), and QLColumnsW() have been implemented.
- In the ntdll library for FreeBSD, a version of the create_logical_proc_info() function has been implemented, which outputs information about the CPU.
- Bug reports related to the operation of applications have been closed: tlReader 10.x, wcmd.exe, Free Virtual Keyboard, Roon.
- Bug reports related to the operation of games have been closed: Metro 2033, INSIDE, So Blonde, Throne and Liberty.
