The experimental branch of the open implementation of WinAPI - Wine 6.12 has been released. Since the release of version 6.11, 42 bug reports have been closed and 354 changes have been made.
The most significant changes:
- Two new themes, "Blue" and "Classic Blue," have been included.
- An initial implementation of the NSI (Network Store Interface) service has been proposed, which stores and transmits information about network interfaces on the computer and routing to other services.
- Additional work has been done to translate WinSock into libraries based on the PE (Portable Executable) format. Many setsockopt and getsockopt handlers have been moved to the ntdll library.
- The reg.exe utility has added support for 32-bit and 64-bit representations of the registry.
- Bug reports related to games have been closed: Diablo 3, Dark Souls 3, The Evil Within, Elex, Alien: Isolation, Assassin’s Creed III, Heroes III Horn of the Abyss 1.5.4, Rainbow Six Siege, Civilization VI, S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Frostpunk, Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, Imperium Great Battles of Rome.
- Bug reports related to applications have been closed: Visual C++ 2005, WiX Toolset v3.x, Cypress PSoC Creator 3.0, CDBurnerXP 4.1.x - 4.4.x, QQ 2021, Windows PowerShell 2.0, Altium Designer 20, T-Force Alpha Plus VST2 64bit plugin, MSDN-Direct2D-Demo, Total Commander 9.51, Windows PC Health Check, TrouSerS, readpcr.
