The experimental branch of the open-source WinAPI implementation has released Wine 6.13. Since the release of version 6.12, 31 bug reports have been closed and 284 changes have been made.
The most significant changes:
- Correct support for themes for scroll bars has been implemented.
- Work has continued on translating WinSock and IPHLPAPI into libraries based on the PE (Portable Executable) format.
- Preparation has been made for the implementation of the GDI system call interface.
- Bug reports related to the operation of games have been closed: Sims 4, Doom 3, Academagia, SkySaga, Far Cry 4, CARS 2, Dishonored 2, INSIDE, The Hong Kong Massacre, Sniper Elite 3, World of Warcraft, Battlefield 4.
- Bug reports related to the operation of applications have been closed: ExeInfoPE v0.0.3.0, QQMusic 8.6, DXVA Checker 3.x/4.x, Perfect World, Kodi, NetEase Cloud Music, Mathearbeit G 5.6.
At the same time, the release of the Wine Staging 6.13 project has been formed, which creates extended builds of Wine that include not fully ready or risky patches, currently unsuitable for acceptance into the main branch of Wine. Compared to Wine, Wine Staging provides 608 additional patches.
In this new release, synchronization with the Wine 6.13 codebase has been achieved. Two patches have been transferred to the main Wine branch: a fix for the bug with copying and pasting through the clipboard in mfplat; and a prohibition on connections for listening or already connected sockets in Wineserver.
