An experimental release of the open implementation of WinAPI — Wine 7.16 has occurred. Since the release of version 7.15, 20 bug reports have been closed and 226 changes have been made.
The most significant changes:
- Support for WoW64 has been added to the X11 driver, allowing 32-bit programs to run on 64-bit Windows.
- A session storage feature has been implemented in the MSHTML engine.
- MSXML now handles Unicode correctly in regular expressions.
- Text editing control has improved support for input methods.
- Bug reports related to game operations have been closed: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, StarCitizen, Watch Dogs, Obduction, Ragnarok Online, Visual Novel Doukyuusei, Saints Row.
- Bug reports related to application operations have been closed: Microsoft Office 365, Hog4PC 3.17.
