The release of the zeronet-conservancy project is now available, continuing the development of the decentralized censorship-resistant ZeroNet network, where website creation utilizes Bitcoin addressing and verification mechanisms combined with BitTorrent distributed delivery technologies. The content of the sites is stored in a P2P network on visitors' machines and verified by the digital signature of the owner. The fork was created after the original ZeroNet developer disappeared and aims to maintain and enhance the security of the existing infrastructure, user moderation, and a smooth transition to a new, safe, and fast network.
After the last news (0.7.5), two versions have been released:
- 0.7.6
- New changes are licensed under GPLv3+.
- More trackers with Syncronite.
- A more developed donation system for websites.
- A quick deployment script for Android/Termux.
- Translation of README into Russian and Brazilian Portuguese.
- Reduced user fingerprinting capabilities.
- New docker files.
- Improvements in the user interface and sidebar buttons.

- Port forwarding via UPnP using a secure XML library (previously, port forwarding was disabled due to security concerns).
- Fix for XMR donation support.

- Optional indication of the reason for user mute.
0.7.7 is the last planned version in the 0.7 branch, with main work underway on new (partially breaking) features for the upcoming 0.8 branch.
