March 16 Oracle announced the release of the distribution Solaris 11.4 SRU19. This release fixes a series of bugs and incorporates several improvements.
Solaris — an operating system developed by Sun Microsystems for the SPARC platform, which has belonged to Oracle since 2010 along with Sun's assets. Although Solaris is a closed-source operating system, a large part of it is open-sourced and published under the OpenSolaris project (now discontinued, but there is a fork).
Changes include:
- The tool for building configuration and system status profiles has been updated Oracle Explorer to version 20.1.
- The distribution includes tools for building meson.
- SNMP now implements authentication with support for SHA2 hashes.
- Python now includes the following modules:
