The latest version of ZLUDA has been released — a compatibility layer for parallel computing on non-Nvidia graphics processors, aimed at full compatibility with CUDA. It corresponds to CUDA version 13.1. Currently, it supports only AMD (ROCm version up to 7.2), with plans for Intel support. It is written in Rust.
Initial support has been announced for running the PhysX physics engine and the Blender 3D editor on top of ZLUDA.
About the name. Cuda in Polish means "miracles," while złuda means "illusion." The author states that he did not intend any deep meaning, simply taking the first word that sounded similar to CUDA to change the name from notCUDA.
