Microsoft has gradually shifted its focus away from everything related to the Cortana voice assistant in Windows 10. Nevertheless, the company intends to continue developing the voice assistant concept. According to recent data, Microsoft is looking for engineers to work on the voice control function for Windows 10X.
The company is not sharing details about the new development, but it is known that it will be a completely new application. Accordingly, the new development will exist separately from Cortana, at least for the time being. On the other hand, if the company decides to merge Cortana with the new developments, Microsoft's voice assistant could compete with Google Assistant and Siri from Apple.
