After a year of development and 29 preview versions, a stable release of the open project implementing the Win32 API—Wine 10.0—has been released. This new version includes over 6000 changes. Key new features include full support for the ARM64EC architecture, improved performance on high pixel density displays, a Wayland driver enabled by default, new panels for screen and joystick configuration, the use of a multimedia backend based on FFmpeg, a driver for Bluetooth, as well as support for Vulkan 1.4 and the ability to emulate output mode switching.
Currently, Wine provides stable operation for 5372 Windows programs. An additional 4435 applications function correctly with configuration or the use of external DLL libraries. For 4020 programs, minor issues have been noted that do not affect their core functionality.
