Wine — a compatibility layer for Windows applications with POSIX-compatible operating systems, translating Windows API calls to POSIX calls on the fly instead of emulating Windows logic like a virtual machine.
In addition to over 47 bug tracker fixes, the new release includes:
- Development of the WineD3D backend on Vulkan continues.
- Work has begun on a separate UNIX library for NTDLL.
- Improved support for anti-cheat drivers operating at the kernel level (StarForce v3, TrackMania Nations ESWC, Denuvo Anti-Cheat).
- More glyph replacements in DirectWrite.
- Support for closed DSS keys.
- Fixes for ARM64 exception handling.
