The Wine development team is proud to announce the release of the new stable version Wine 6.0.
This release represents a year of active development and includes over 8,300 changes.
Significant changes:
- PE format kernel modules.
- Vulkan backend for WineD3D.
- Support for DirectShow and Media Foundation.
- Redesign of the text console.
This release is dedicated to the memory of Ken Thomases, who passed away just before Christmas at the age of 51. Ken was an incredibly talented developer and a driving force behind macOS support in Wine. We will all miss his skills, patience, and dark sense of humor.
