The Linux kernel has one weak point: inadequate testing. One of the main signs that change is coming is that KernelCI, the automated testing environment for the Linux kernel, is becoming part of the Linux Foundation project.
At a recent meeting Linux Kernel Plumbers in Lisbon, Portugal, one of the hottest topics was how to improve and automate the testing of the Linux kernel. Leading Linux developers have joined forces within a single testing environment: KernelCI. Now, at the Open Source Summit Europe in Lyon (France), KernelCI has become a Linux Foundation project.
