Google Corporation is rolling out the final sixth beta version of the Android 10 Q operating system. It is currently only available for Google Pixel devices. The new build installs quite quickly on those smartphones that already have the previous version.
There aren't many changes, as the code base is already frozen, and the OS developers have focused on fixing bugs. The navigation system based on gesture control has been improved for users in this build. In particular, it is now possible to adjust the sensitivity level for the 'Back' gesture. Additionally, developers received the final API 29 SDK with all the necessary tools. This means that it's possible to start creating applications for Android Q. It is noted that installation can be done either 'over the air' or manually by downloading the latest version from the official site of the 'search giant.'
Overall functionality hasn't changed. There is the already traditional system-wide dark mode, which helps save energy on devices with OLED displays. Improved notifications and some other enhancements are also present. Additionally, developers have refined several aspects of system security. However, the effectiveness of these improvements will only be assessed after the final version is released.
It is expected that the beta version will become available on other devices besides Pixel in the coming days. The stable final build of Android 10 is anticipated by the end of August.
