Kent Overstreet, the developer of the Bcachefs file system, submitted a pull request with fixes for Bcachefs, proposed for inclusion in the 6.14-rc3 branch. In addition to the information about the fixes, it was announced that the format of Bcachefs disk structures has been stabilized. Any further changes to the format will be considered optional and will be implemented as optional extensions.
Notable fixes include: improved operation in read-only mode; resolving an issue that leads to accessing memory after it has been freed (use after free); addressing problems with reflink pointers in fsck; and fixing transaction restart handling.
