First stable release of the Linux Remote Desktop project

The release of the Linux Remote Desktop 0.9 project is available, which develops a platform for organizing remote work of users. It is noted that this is the first stable release of the project, ready for the formation of working implementations. The platform allows you to set up a Linux server to automate the remote work of employees, allowing users to connect to a virtual desktop over the network and run graphical applications provided by the administrator. Access to the desktop is possible both with the help of any RDP client and from a web browser. The implementation of the control web-interface is written in JavaScript and distributed under the Apache 2.0 license.

The project offers a ready-made docker container that can be deployed to an arbitrary number of users. To manage the infrastructure, a web-based administrator interface is offered. The environment itself is formed using standard open components, such as xrdp (an implementation of a server for accessing the desktop using the RDP protocol), Ubuntu Xrdp (an xrdp-based multi-user docker container template with support for sound forwarding), Apache Guacamole (a gateway for accessing desktop using a web browser) and Nubo (a server environment for creating remote access systems).
