The Russian Open Source Summit will be held in Moscow on October 1

On October 1, Moscow will host the Russian Open Source Summit conference dedicated to the use of open source software in Russia in the context of state policy to reduce dependence on foreign IT suppliers. The conference will discuss prospects, growth points, actions that need to be taken to develop and implement Open Source technology in the Russian Federation. Topics such as monetization, the development of an open source development culture in universities, tools and mechanisms for supporting open source software will also be considered.

Speakers directly related to open source projects include Oleg Bartunov and Ivan Panchenko (PostgreSQL), Mikhail Burtsev (DeepPavlov) and Alexey Smirnov (ALT). The rest of the participants include representatives of business, educational institutions and government agencies. Participation is free, but pre-registration is required. The event will take place at the following address: Moscow, Radisson Collection Hotel (former Ukraina Hotel, Kutuzovsky p-t, 2/1, building 1).
