May 11 - LibreOffice 7.0 Alpha1 Bug Hunt

The Document Foundation announces about the availability for testing of the alpha version of LibreOffice 7.0 and invites you to take part in the hunt for bugs organized on May 11th.

Ready builds (RPM- and DEB-packages that can be put into the system next to the stable version of the package) will be posted in the section pre-releases.

Please report any bugs you find to the developers. bugzilla the project.

You can ask questions and get help all day long (7:00 - 19:00 UTC) on the #libreoffice-qa IRC channel or on Telegram channel teams.

Of the notable innovations in version 7.0, one can note only the transition from Cairo to Skia by default in the Windows version. You can also try Skia under Linux, but even the developers themselves think that this will not give much profit, unlike the Windows version of LibreOffice.

From myself I will add: this news is more informational occasion. There are more than 700 unprocessed bug reports in the bugzill of the project, and more than 13 unclosed bugs / RFEs. So the project would benefit from volunteers in the QA team. Prepared for those on fire with an altruistic impulse instruction on entering the QA topic in LibreOffice in Russian.
