Wolcen Studio has released a new trailer showing a cut of the actual gameplay of Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem with a total duration of three minutes. This role-playing action movie is created on the CryEngine engine from Crytek and has been in Steam Early Access since March 2016.
At the recent gamescom 2019 exhibition, the studio introduced a new Wrath of Sarisel mode. It will be quite complex and will require coordination between the players. The new video is just designed to give an idea about this mode. It also shows some excerpts from the second act to get acquainted with future locations. Finally, the video captures yet another apocalyptic form. According to the developers, they will soon talk about all the upcoming apocalyptic forms and their special skills.
With the Wrath of Sarisel content update finalized and debugged, including several planned fixes, the team will be fully focused on releasing the game. This add-on will be released in late September or early October, and the full launch of the project is scheduled for January 2020.
By launch, Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem will include:
- 3 acts of a campaign that will be developed and supported in the future;
- multiplayer and cooperative content;
- character level up to 90;
- 21 archetypes in Gate of Fates;
- 40 skills with 12-16 modifiers for each;
- 4 apocalyptic forms with their own skills and attacks;
- the mechanics of crafting items;
- wide character customization with the ability to choose a female hero;
- 10 levels of armor, special armor;
- armor coloring transfer;
- customizable game rules in accordance with locations;
- secondary missions and optional content.
After that, the development of the game will continue with the release of new free updates, new acts, missions, modes and expansions. An early version of Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem now . Reviews, however, are mixed: 66% of almost 5 thousand responses are positive. And there is no Russian localization even in the form of subtitles.
