Amazon has unveiled an improved version of the inexpensive Fire 7 tablet, which is already available for pre-order.
Like the previous model, the novelty is offered at an estimated price of $50. At the same time, developers are talking about increased performance, and the amount of flash memory in the basic modification has doubled - from 8 GB to 16 GB. A 32GB version is also available for $70.
The device is equipped with a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels. There are front and rear cameras - both use a 2-megapixel sensor.
The gadget uses a quad-core processor with a clock frequency of 1,3 GHz. The amount of RAM is 1 GB. The equipment includes a microSD slot, a Wi-Fi 802.11n wireless adapter, a Micro-USB port and an accelerometer.
Dimensions are 192 × 115 × 9,6 mm, weight - 286 grams. Claimed battery life on a single battery charge up to 7 hours.
It should be added that users of the Fire 7 tablet will have access to the Alexa intelligent voice assistant in hands-free mode. Deliveries of new items will begin on June 6.
