Bethesda Softworks has announced that it will release a free major update to the multiplayer game. titled Wastelanders on April 7, 2020. The project will appear on Steam on the same day.
Wastelanders is the biggest update to Fallout 76, introducing fully voiced human characters (and the dialogue system from Fallout 3), as well as a new storyline. Gamers will have to build relationships with settlers, earn a reputation with warring factions and uncover the secrets of West Virginia.
New story missions can be completed either alone or with friends. They will be available immediately after leaving Vault 76. In addition, new mutated creatures are migrating to Appalachia - you will have to kill them to get better weapons and armor.
Fallout 76 is available on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
