According to the prehistory of The Surge 2, the main character got into a storm - the plane crashed on the outskirts of Jericho. A few weeks later, the protagonist wakes up in an abandoned city prison. Armored soldiers enforce martial law, robots are out of control, and a terrible nanite storm is brewing over the city...
