Acer has announced the premium Chromebook 714 and Chromebook 715 laptops for enterprise customers, launching in the current quarter.
Laptops operate under the operating system Chrome OS. The devices are housed in a durable aluminum housing that is shock resistant. The ruggedized design meets the military standard MIL-STD 810G, so the laptops can withstand drops from a height of up to 122 cm and pressure on the cover up to 60 kg.
The Chromebook 714 has a 14-inch screen, while the Chromebook 715 has a 15,6-inch screen. In both cases, a Full HD panel with a resolution of 1920 Γ 1080 pixels is used. Buyers will be able to choose between modifications with a conventional and touch screen.
Both computers can be equipped with an eighth generation Intel Core i5 or Core i3 processor, as well as an Intel Celeron or Pentium Gold chip. The amount of DDR4 RAM is 8 or 16 GB, the capacity of the eMMC flash drive is 32, 64 or 128 GB.
We are talking about support for wireless Wi-Fi 802.11ac/a/b/g/n 2Γ2 and Bluetooth 4.2. There are two USB 3.1 Type-C ports, a USB 3.0 port, and a microSD card slot. The older model is equipped with a keypad with a numeric keypad.
