Acer today held a major presentation, which introduced many new products. Among them was the new ConceptD brand, under which laptops, computers and monitors intended for professional use will be produced. The novelties are aimed at graphic designers, directors, editors, engineers, architects, developers and other content creators.
The ConceptD 900 desktop computer is the flagship of a new family. It is based on a pair of Intel Xeon Gold 6148 server processors, which in total give 40 cores and 80 threads. They are complemented by a professional graphics card NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000. The amount of DDR4 ECC RAM reaches 192 GB. For data storage, up to two M.2 PCIe SSDs are provided, as well as up to five hard drives in RAID 0,1 bundles.
In turn, the ConceptD 500 system offers ninth-generation Intel Core processors, up to the eight-core Core i9-9900K. The maximum configuration received a professional video card Quadro RTX 4000. The amount of DDR4-2666 RAM reaches 64 GB, and M.2 solid-state drives and / or hard drives can act as storage. We also note that on the top cover of the ConceptD 500 there is a platform for wireless charging of Qi standard smartphones.
Acer also introduced the ConceptD 9, 7 and 5 laptops, which stand out not only for their powerful βstuffingβ, but also for their 4K UHD IPS 2 Pantone Validated displays. In addition to 100% Adobe RGB coverage, the displays are also calibrated and have high color accuracy (up to Delta E <1). And Acer also notes the low noise level of new products under load - up to 40 dBA.
The ConceptD 9 is a flagship laptop with an unusual form factor for its size. The touch 17,3-inch display of the novelty is fixed on special hinges and can be installed in different positions. Input with the Wacom EMR digital pen is supported. The laptop is based on the ninth-generation Core i9 H-series mobile processor. Discrete GeForce RTX accelerators are responsible for graphics processing, up to RTX 2080. The amount of RAM reaches 32 GB. For data storage, there are two M.2 SSDs with a capacity of 512 GB each, which can be combined into RAID 0.
The Acer ConceptD 7 features a 15,6-inch 4K IPS display calibrated to Delta E <2. The ninth-generation Core i7 H-series processors and NVIDIA graphics cards up to the GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q are used here, that is, with slightly lower frequencies and lower power consumption. The amount of RAM can be up to 32 GB. The laptop is dressed in a case with a thickness of 17,9 mm, and the novelty weighs 2,1 kg.
The ConceptD 5 laptop also features a 15,6-inch display, but relies on eighth-generation Intel Core i5 and Core i7 mobile processors. And here the AMD Radeon RX Vega M accelerator acts as a video card. The amount of RAM is 8 or 16 GB, and SSDs with a capacity of 256, 512 or 1024 GB are provided for data storage. This mobile computer weighs only 1,5 kg, and its thickness does not exceed 16,9 mm. There are also narrow bezels around the display, due to which the laptop as a whole turned out to be compact.
In addition to computers, the ConceptD OJO Windows Mixed Reality virtual reality headset was presented, which boasts that the total resolution of its displays is 4320 Γ 2160 pixels. It is also possible to adjust the distance from the displays to the eyes. And yet the headset has its own sensors for orientation in space with six degrees of freedom.
Finally, two monitors were introduced: the 32-inch ConceptD CM7321K and the 27-inch ConceptD CP7271K. Both models also feature high-quality calibration (up to Delta E <1) and wide color gamut. Both are capable of displaying 99% of the Adobe RGB palette. In addition, Rec. 2020 89,5% and the smaller model has 3% DCI-P93 coverage. The 27-inch ConceptD CP7271K supports NVIDIA G-Sync.
As for the cost and timing of the release of new products on the Russian market, so far they have been announced only for a part of the new devices. For the rest of the new products, European prices and sales start dates are given.

- ConceptD 9 laptop - from 359 rubles, will appear in Russia in August;
- ConceptD 7 laptop - from 149 rubles, will appear in Russia in July;
- ConceptD 5 laptop - from 119 rubles, will appear in Russia in July;
- Headset ConceptD OJO - 39 rubles, will appear in Russia in August;
- ConceptD CP7271K Monitor - β¬1, European sales starting in July;
- ConceptD CM7321K Monitor - β¬2, European sales start in September.
