Wasteland 3 Alpha Testing Begins August 21st

Studio InXile Entertainment announced details of the launch of the alpha testing of the post-apocalyptic RPG Wasteland 3. According to the company's blog on the crowdfunding platform Fig, the alpha version will be released on August 21, 2019.

Access will be granted to all participants who have donated at least $75 to create the game (First Access category). They will be able to play through Steam. The developers separately emphasized that this is the first build of the game, so you can encounter various bugs and crashes, and there may be performance problems. Over time, InXile will release updates that will make the project more stable.

Also in the alpha version there will be a number of restrictions. Users will not be able to start as a new character. According to the developers, the player will be given one of the final quests to complete in the American town of Aspen. The user will also not have access to the perks, skills and multiplayer menus. But players will be able to take screenshots and broadcast. The rest of the fans will have to wait for the start of early access. The details of its launch have not yet been disclosed.

On the Fig platform, the studio intended to raise $2,75 million in funds, but raised more than $3,1 million. The exact release date for Wasteland 3 has not yet been announced, but the release is expected in the spring of 2020. The game will be released on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
