There are no details about the partners' plans yet, but the companies seem to have a common goal of making it easier to develop high-quality cloud games. Scott Herkelman, Corporate Vice President and General Manager of AMD's Graphics Division said, "At AMD, we pride ourselves on our ability to push the boundaries of what technology can do to enhance the gaming experience." He also added: “Oxide shares this passion and is an ideal partner for us because, like us, it empowers gamers while delivering the quality they demand.”

Also during the event, both companies mentioned the Nitrous Engine game engine from Oxide Games. Mark Meyer, President of Oxide Games, said: “Oxide's mission is to bring to life games that gamers never imagined. We designed the Nitrous Engine for exactly this purpose.”

It will likely be some time before we see the first fruits of this collaboration. Cloud gaming services are a relatively new market, so there is every chance that the duo of AMD and Oxide Games will be able to take a good position in the developing area.
