The so-called “crypto hangover” hit Power Logic’s business in the second quarter of 2018, and for five consecutive quarters the company was content with modest revenues, as the market was oversaturated with ready-made graphics cards and new cooling systems were not required for them. In the third quarter of this year, however, demand returned to growth, and Power Logic managed to increase its consolidated revenue by 62,48% sequentially and by 46,35% year-on-year. The profit margin increased from 14% to 32% compared to the third quarter of last year.
In the near future, the manufacturer of cooling systems expects an increase in order volumes due to the launch of the GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER, GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER and Radeon RX 5500 graphics cards. According to the head of Power Logic, AMD managed to increase its share in the discrete graphics segment from 20% up to about 30%. NVIDIA's quarterly reports will be published tomorrow, and this will allow us to hear new comments on the current situation in the graphics solutions market.
