Well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has announced a forecast for the supply of smartphones from Huawei and its subsidiary Honor brand for the current year.
The Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei is currently going through quite difficult times due to sanctions from the United States. Nevertheless, the company's cellular devices continue to be in high demand.
In particular, as noted, sales of Huawei smartphones are increasing in the home market - China. In addition, sales of the companyβs devices on the international market are being restored. In addition, Huawei is implementing a more aggressive smartphone sales strategy.
Last year, shipments of Huawei smart cellular devices, according to IDC, amounted to 206 million units. The company has captured approximately 14,7% of the global smartphone market.
This year, Ming-Chi Kuo believes, Huawei can sell about 260 million devices. If these expectations are met, sales of Huawei smartphones will exceed the landmark quarter of a billion units.
In general, according to IDC forecasts, about 1,38 billion smartphones will be sold worldwide this year. Deliveries will decrease by 1,9% compared to last year.
