On May 18 and 19, a 24-hour programming marathon will be held - Urbaton. We start in four cities at once: Yekaterinburg, Izhevsk, Kazan, Novosibirsk. Developers, testers, designers and interface designers, unite! We've come up with some amazing urban project ideas and we're waiting for you to bring them to life.
As you guessed, the Hackathon is about urbanism. We will improve the lives of citizens and improve the urban environment.
The conditions are simple. You have to come up with an idea for a project or choose the one you like from those proposed by us and implement MVP in just a day. The result of the work can be a website, an application, a game, a telegram bot, or anything, as long as some problem of the city residents is solved. We are open to any ideas: from a service that shows the nearest vegan cafe or battery collection point, to playing with the logistics of traffic lights and traffic.
The hackathon will be a team event. This means that several people with different roles in the team will work on one idea: project managers, developers, designers, testers. If you have proven guys, bring them with you. If not, we will assemble a team of like-minded people from different specialties.
For the hardiest who plan to work the full 24 hours, we ordered 50 gallons of energy drink. And for those who come to brilliant ideas in a dream, we have prepared places for recreation. Soups, cereals, salads and a night meal will also be available, so no one will be dissatisfied
The Hackathon will end with prizes for the best ideas and implementations. The winners will be selected by a jury of developers and urbanists, which we will talk about in the following posts.
The hackathon is free, but registration is required. Let's go to be useful!
