Gregory Kurtzer, founder of the CentOS project, created a new project to "resurrect" CentOS - Rocky Linux. For these purposes, the rockylinux.org domain was registered. rockylinux.org and created repository on Github.
At the moment, Rocky Linux is in the planning stage and the formation of a development team. Kurtser said that Rocky Linux will be classic CentOS - "100% bug-for-bug compatible with Red Hat Enterprise Linux" and development will be driven by the community.
