As part of FOSDEM 2024, the Orange Pi Neo portable gaming console was announced.
Key Features:
- SoC: AMD Ryzen 7 7840U with RDNA 3 video chip;
- screen: 7 inches with FullHD (1920×1200) at 120 Hz;
- RAM: 16 GB or 32 GB DDR 5 to choose from;
- long-term memory: 512 GB or 2 TB SSD to choose from;
- wireless technologies: Wi-Fi 6+ and Bluetooth 5.3.
The new product is unique in that the Orange Pi Neo will use Manjaro. This is the second portable device to use Manjaro. Linux (SteamDeck uses Arch-based SteamOs 3).
Prices are not yet known. According to insider information, in addition to the Ryzen version, an ARM version of Orange Pi Neo is being developed.
