The main feature of the new products is the use of the Qualcomm SiP 1 processor. The difference between SiP (System-in-Package, β€œsystem-in-package”) chips from more traditional systems-on-a-chip (SoC) is that all the main components (chips of integrated circuits) are combined in a module, while in SoC all nodes are made on a single chip.

The 14nm chipset itself used in smartphones is almost identical to the budget Snapdragon 450 with an octa-core 1,8GHz processor and Adreno 506 graphics system.

The Max Shot smartphone has a triple camera system on the back - a standard 12-megapixel, 8-megapixel wide-angle and 5-megapixel camera with a depth sensor, while the Max Plus M2 is equipped with a dual camera with 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. The smartphones have an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash on the front panel.

The battery capacity of both smartphones is 4000 mAh. The novelties are running stock OS Android 8.1 Oreo, which should soon be replaced by the Pie version.

Smartphones are already on sale. The Zenfone Max Shot starts at $350 and the Zenfone Max Plus M2 is $340.
