GIGABYTE has announced Aorus NVMe Gen4 SSDs for gaming-grade desktops.
The basis is the 3D TLC Toshiba BiCS4 flash memory microchips: the technology provides for the storage of three bits of information in one cell.
The devices are made in the M.2 2280 form factor. The PCI Express 4.0 x4 interface (NVMe 1.3 specification) is used, which ensures high performance.
In particular, the declared sequential read speed of information reaches 5000 MB / s, sequential write speed - 4400 MB / s.
The drives are capable of up to 750 random read input/output operations (IOPS) and up to 700 random write operations.
A copper radiator is responsible for cooling at high loads. Dimensions are 80,5 Γ 11,4 Γ 23,5 mm. The stated operating temperature range extends from 0 to 70 degrees Celsius.
Customers will be able to choose between 4TB and 1TB versions of the Aorus NVMe Gen2 SSD. The price has not yet been announced.
