GIGABYTE has launched Aorus RGB M.2 NVMe SSDs for gaming applications.
The products use 3D TLC Toshiba BiCS3 flash memory microchips (three bits of information in one cell). The devices conform to the M.2 2280 format: dimensions are 22 Γ 80 mm.
The drives received a cooling radiator. Implemented proprietary backlight RGB Fusion with the ability to display a large number of color shades and support for five effects.
The PCI-Express 3.0 x4 (NVMe 1.3) interface is used. The Aorus RGB M.2 NVMe SSD family includes two models - with a capacity of 256 GB and 512 GB.
In the younger version, the sequential read speed of information reaches 3100 MB / s, the sequential write speed is 1050 MB / s. The IOPS (Input/Output Operations Per Second) is up to 180K for random reads and up to 240K for random writes.
The older model demonstrates read speeds up to 3480 MB / s and write speeds up to 2000 MB / s. The value of IOPS for reading and writing is up to 360 thousand and up to 440 thousand, respectively.
Among other things, it is worth highlighting support for AES 256 encryption, TRIM commands and SMART technology. The manufacturer's warranty is five years.
